Julia Zaetta
EDITOR IN CHIEF – BETTER HOMES & GARDENS

Julia has a unique relationship with a wide variety of media outlets in the Australian market and through her strategic vision, she has taken the iconic Better Homes & Garden brand from print to television, radio and online – moulding it into one of the most successful brands in media today.

A highly regarded industry voice, Julia has previously held the position of editor at The Australian Women’s Weekly, Open Road and Better Homes & Gardens. In 2017 she was awarded the Women in Media Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of her achievements and contribution to the industry.

Barbara Lange
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR – SMPTE

Barbara Lange joined SMPTE as executive director in January 2010.  Ms. Lange’s portfolio includes executing on the SMPTE Board of Governors’ strategic vision and to ensure the Society’s continued relevance in an ever-evolving media ecosystem.  During Ms. Lange’s tenure membership has grown by 30% globally, more than 200 leading-edge industry standards have been published, and the Society has educated thousands of professionals on critical technical topics. 

Today, Ms. Lange’s focus is implementing a newly approved 3-year business plan that will further SMPTE’s visibility and relevance with an emphasis on attracting a younger and more diverse membership demographic. 

Helen Clifton
CHIEF DIGITAL AND INFORMATION OFFICER – AUSTRALIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION

Helen joins the ABC following a thirty-year media career across the UK, the Middle East and New Zealand. Since 2007 she has played a crucial role at TVNZ in Auckland as Chief Product and Information Officer, where she was responsible for major business transformation and delivering the company’s largest technology projects.

Beginning her career in the UK, Helen has held many roles in television production and operations management. These include Studio Manager at LWT Granada’s London studios, then Director of Operations for Aljazeera English Channel in Doha, Qatar where she led the team that delivered the first HD 24/7 global news channel from four broadcast centres around the world.

Louise Stigwood
HEAD OF MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT, AUSTRALIA – AMAZON WEB SERVICES

Louise leads the Media Practice for AWS in Australia. Operating in the most disrupted industry globally, Louise leads a team helping media organisations reach the entire Australian population with purposeful content through multiple mediums, curated and stored effectively, whilst achieving their transformation objectives. 

With over 20 years experience, prior to Amazon Louise held a number of GM positions at Telstra running industry groups and account teams in both Australia and the UK supporting global customers. Louise started her career in technology in the UK working in Global Broadcast & ISP Technology.

Zon Lim
DIRECTOR – APJ MEDIA INDUSTRY, AKAMAI TECHNOLOGIES

Zon Lim heads the Asia Pacific and Japan Media and Entertainment Industry Strategy team at Akamai Technologies. She joined Akamai in 2014 to pioneer Security Marketing across APJ and later assumed leadership roles in Campaign and Field Marketing. In her current capacity as the Head of Media Strategy, she provides industry insights to ensure both the company and customers are ahead of the curve in the face of market forces. She is responsible in driving market analysis, identify opportunities and solutions selling. 

Zon has over 20 years of business development, marketing and communications experiences in the IT and financial industries. In her tenure with companies such as IBM, Red Hat and SAP, Zon made foray into new territories, industries and business segments with proven results in revenues and pipeline development, customer retention and branding.
