METexpo is proud to announce that Julia Zaetta will be presenting at an upcoming function dedicated to women in the industry.

Julia has a unique relationship with a wide variety of media outlets in the Australian market and through her strategic vision, she has taken the iconic Better Homes & Garden brand from print to television, radio and online – moulding it into one of the most successful brands in media today.

A highly regarded industry voice, Julia has previously held the position of editor at The Australian Women’s Weekly, Open Road and Better Homes & Gardens. In 2017 she was awarded the Women in Media Lifetime achievement award in recognition of her achievements and contribution to the industry.

In confirming her involvement at a function dedicated to women in the industry Gary Fitz-Roy MD of Expertise Events said, “I have admired Julia for a long time, she is one of the most successful women in media today having endured the industry over a long period of time. She has a wicked sense of humour and I know she will share stories that will resonate not just with women working in the industry but anyone that has seen how much the industry has changed and blended, and I know you will laugh.”

SMPTE Australia Section Chair Paul Broderick said, “We are very excited to have Julia present at our METexpo inaugural women in industry function. Julia’s journey, experience and passion for the industry will be most inspiring. The function will also be an excellent opportunity for like-minded women to connect and network.”

The function will be held on Friday 19 July at the International Convention Centre Darling Harbour as part of the newly formatted METexpo. A booking page will be available online from early March.

The women in industry function is a new initiative, launched in conjunction with the release of the blueprint for SMPTE’s newly positioned METexpo, which will run from 17-20 July,
