Thank you to all those section members who voted in the recent SMPTE Australia Section elections.
Firstly, a big thank you to Peter Stavrianos (Stav) and Kathy-Anne McManus (KAM) for their contribution to the SMPTE Australia Section board. It’s not an easy task balancing work, home and lifestyle to include the time to contribute to the running and planning of the various activities that the Australian section of SMPTE provides for its members. Round of applause for Stav and KAM.
Secondly, the SMPTE Australia Section welcomes Catherine Turner and Andrew Seale on to the Board as section managers.
Catherine Turner
Catherine brings to the board substantial skills in all facets of Television, Multimedia projects and Education and is a certified trainer. She has a passion to support the ethos and principles of SMPTE as well as addressing the Gender inbalance within the industry.
Andrew Seale
With a career spanning over 40 years in television (he started as a toddler), Andrew has a wealth of experience and knowledge in all facets of Television broadcasting and studio technologies. Andrew is enthusiastic about change and looks forward to encouraging education and training in the industry.
The SMPTE Australia Section board meets monthly and comprises Section Chair, Section Treasurer and Section Managers. Guests are welcome to attend who wish to contribute to the running of the section. All members of the board are volunteers.
