As part of our industry outreach and support activity, SMPTE Australia Section is proud to once again be a significant sponsor of the World of Women Film Festival created and arranged by Women in Film and Television NSW. This year’s festival team has organised a cracker program of short and long-form material, much of it telling stories that are particularly Australian.
Details on the 19th WOW Film Festival can be found here. The festival runs from 5 to 15 March in Sydney, and then hits the road to take festival entries to the rest of the country.
Special pointer: the last night of the festival (15 March, Dendy Newtown) features seven films by indigenous women, and offers both filmmaker introductions, and Q&A with the filmmakers following the screening.
