Application deadlines for both the Lou Wolf Memorial Scholarship and the SMPTE Student Paper Award have been extended to July 15!

The Lou Wolf Memorial Scholarship awards up to $2,000 to help students further their undergraduate or graduate studies in motion pictures and television, with an emphasis on technology.  Full-time students enrolled in an accredited high school, 2- or 4-year college or university are eligible to apply!  You can find more information and an application on the SMPTE website here:  https://www.smpte.org/membership/student/scholarships

The SMPTE Student Paper Award recognizes an outstanding paper prepared and submitted by a Student Member. The paper receiving the Student Paper Award will be published in the SMPTE Motion Imaging Journal, giving recognition to the author and the institution at which the work was done.  More information, including application guidelines, can be found here:  https://www.smpte.org/membership/student/student_paper_award

Recipients of both awards also receive complimentary registration to the 2011 SMPTE Annual Technical Conference & Exhibition, where they will receive their award at our Honors & Awards Ceremony.

Please encourage Students to apply!
