Due to popular demand (we’ve had 62 RSVPs so far), SMPTE Australia Section has now increased numbers for its digital cinema update held through Hoyts at the Hoyts Entertainment Quarter, Sydney.
The evening will be hosted By Adam Wrightson, Group Technology Director for the Hoyts Corporation.
One of Australia’s leaders in Digital Cinema, Adam is well versed in the latest digital cinema trends and would be only too happy to share his perspective with the SMPTE members.

- 6.30pm: Arrival
- 6.45pm: Tour and review latest equipment and discussion of Hoyts digital strategy
- 7.45pm: Food and drink for screening to be supplied (coke and popcorn)
- 8.00pm: Screening of Bruce Willis – ‘Surrogates’ (Sci-Fi Action Film)
- 9.30pm Evening finished.
Venue: Hoyts Entertainment Quarter, 213 Bent Street, Moore Park
(Cinemas are located inside The Entertainment Quarter which is on Lang Road, Moore Park )
Upon arrival, members should indicate they are there for the SMPTE meeting and will be directed to Studio 12.
Parking: There is a multi-storey parking complex at The Entertainment Quarter. The entrance to the Car Park is off Errol Flynn Boulevard and entry to the car park after 6pm is a flat rate of $6.00
