custombuttonVolker Schmitt has been involved at the deepest levels of wireless audio product development at Sennheiser for many years and now heads a global team of engineers dedicated to supporting customers with special technical requirements.


Now based at Sennheiser HQ in Wenebostel near Hanover, Germany, Volker has lived and worked for a number of years in both the USA and Japan.


Volker has gained a truly expert level in all aspects of wireless mic design & usage.  Through his many years of hands-on experience in the field, he has a unique insight into the latest developments in the field of wireless audio.

In this presentation Volker will tell us about further spectrum changes planned for Europe and the Americas, and will also outline some of the different approaches being taken to deliver reliable, high quality wireless audio for professional users in this changing landscape.

Parking: it’s North Sydney, so limited on-street parking (but it helps to be early).  There’s a pay station across the road.

Travel: Bus routes 202, 203, 207, 208 and 209 stop on Miller Street at Ridge Street.  A little further:  it’s only a short walk from northbound bus stops on Pacific Highway.
