SYSTEMS ENGINEER - Broadcast

Panasonic, a leading supplier of professional video equipment to
the broadcast industry, has an excellent opportunity for a Systems
Engineer to join our Broadcast Team based at our head office in
Belrose. Working with the Technical Manager, you will provide outstanding
customer service and first level technical support to our dealer
network, service partners and customers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate who
is passionate about broadcast technology. Your strong ability to
troubleshoot problems and to quickly understand technical issues
and provide resolutions will be well regarded by your customers
and team. You will be able to work with minimum supervision, prioritise
your work and be well organized to meet the requirements of this
role.
Your major responsibilities will include:-
• Provide internal and external engineering, technical and
operational support for all Panasonic broadcast equipment.
• Product inspection and testing prior to product release
• Maintain compliance records for all broadcast products in
regards to EMC and Electrical safety.
• Perform repairs and product rework as required
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years technical
experience within the Broadcast / Professional AV Sector and have
worked with digital VTR’s and camera systems. You must also
have a strong understanding of modern television production techniques
and workflows.
Knowledge of Panasonic broadcast equipment and previous experience
in an engineering support role for an equipment supplier will be
highly regarded.

Broadcast Projects Engineer - Sydney
3 Year Contract Position - Salary negotiable

SBS Engineering requires a dynamic broadcast project engineer with
outstanding documentation and communication skills, a hands-on approach
to managing projects and a minimum of 5 years broadcast engineering
experience, to join a team building SBS’s new centralised
broadcast infrastructure.
Working in both the Television and Radio mission critical environments,
this role will oversee the full design and commissioning of integral
systems throughout the broadcast arena. The successful candidate
will be working within a competent team providing the best solutions
to meet the changing content creation requirements, budgets and
timelines. They must have tertiary qualifications in a relevant
technical field, a dynamic and responsive work ethic, an eye for
detail and a thorough understanding of broadcast standards, all
while following SBS’s documentation processes based on AIPM
methodology.

SBS NON-LINEAR NEWS, CURRENT AFFAIRS AND SPORT SOLUTION - RFP

SBS is seeking to upgrade its existing linear News, Current Affairs
and Sport production equipment and has released an RFP for a centralised
non-linear server based national solution.
A full copy of the RFP is available at www.sbs.com.au
under the 'Tenders and Purchasing Opportunities' tab on the bottom
of the front page.
RFP respondents should notify the contact source of their intention
to make a submission prior to 31 January 2008 so that all notifications
and amendments can be forwarded. Failure to notify SBS will not
eliminate the respondent from submitting a response but may result
in the respondent not having the latest information.
