Sony Tropfest Announces 2004 Winners

Comedian and film-maker Gary Eck was awarded first
prize at the rain-soaked Sony Tropfest 2004 on February 22 by a
panel of celebrity judges including Salma Hayek and Josh Lucas for
his comedy THE MONEY.
Audiences of over 130,000 saw 16 finalist films which were beamed
live via satellite to venues in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth,
Hobart and Brisbane.
The panel of six celebrity judges; Salma Hayek, Josh Lucas, Rowan
Woods, Sacha Horler, Neal Moritz, and Sony Tropfest 2003 winner
Tim Bullock, presented awards including best film, best actor and
actress, best screenplay and best cinematography. The awards were
presented as follows:
