DISCREET OPENS AUSTRALIAN HQ
MELBOURNE
Discreet has announced the establishment of an Australian Sales
Division with offices in Melbourne and Sydney. The new Discreet
sales division will be headed up by former Discreet reseller, distributor
and founder of Future Reality, David Edgar.
"Having been part of the Discreet family for close to ten years,
this is the logical step in further expanding the company's role
in the local post production and broadcast communities," said Edgar.
"I am delighted to be working directly with Discreet and look forward
to continuing to promote their innovative visual effects, editing
and finishing systems including inferno, flame, flint, smoke and
fire."
According to Paresh Kara, Discreet Director for Asia-Pacific, "Discreet
is proud to expand its commitment to our customers in Australia
and New Zealand. The appointment of David will ensure a continuity
of business through his relationship with local customers and provide
established and ongoing support in the region."
As part of the change, Scholastic Australia has been named distributor
for Discreet combustion-desktop compositing and paint software,
and 3ds max-professional 3D modelling and animation software.
Meanwhile, Future Reality has refocused with Dean Nurscher running
the company as Sales Manager.
The company will continue to represent a range of professional
film and video solutions from vendors such as AJA Video Systems,
Rorke Data, Extreme Networks, Pinnacle Systems Professional tools,
MindAvenue 3D web authoring tools, ADTX storage solutions, Right
Hemisphere, Essential Communications, and Sparks.
"Future Reality will continue to offer a large range of exceptional
products to the Australian and New Zealand markets," said Nurscher.
"I am looking forward to maintaining and expanding Future Reality's
customer-base, and continuing to offer the level of service for
which Future Reality is renowned."
